One -
Comparison/Contrast Poster
- Learn what everyday life
was like for Charles Dickens.
- Visit Dickens Home and the
Dickens'
House Museum in
London. ( Both of these links lead to the same house but
each covers the information in a different way. See which
one you prefer.)
- Compare and contrast
Dicken's home to yours. For instance, as a visitor you
might have noticed the description of Dickens' desk in
the study. How are the supplies on his desk different
from that which you might have on a desk in your
home?
- Create a poster that will compare life in the mid 1800's in England of Dickens' life to the late 1990's of your life in Canada.
Choose three areas to compare.
You might choose
- Furniture
- Entertainment
- Transportation
- or any other areas that
seem interesting
